its something weird as per indian tradition.........yes... very different than as I thought some years..
I and dipankar, are dating each other from 2003, we were in affair for almost 7 years before thought of giving long term commitment. Dipankar was my classmate in engg studies. First time, when I saw him in class room, I found him nice and cute but very quiet. e was not part of group, the group where I did all fun I missed in my junior college. who My group was Puneet, chandan, abhijeet (who left just in first month :P), ashay, parikshit, etc., and who else, I dont remember exactly but he was not. I liked his quietness, his shyness deep down in my heart.. but I never expressed him. He is exact opposite of what I was. I had also two other classmates Neha and Sonal, with whom I used to share my crush outside not so serious ones. while Renuka, another classmate, and good friend, with whom I shared my serious ones, thats him and puneet.
2002 - 2003
At this time, Puneet had a serious crush on me..He l liked me alot.. He use to offer me lift for my home, which is 2 hrs drive oneway...and that not onnes but always.. He gifted me chocolates and wat so ever.. But somehow, I was not attracted to him, reason were foolish..his hieght (6ft tall, awesome height as per normal trend), quiet rich (best as boyfrd, can spend lot), intelligent(too better than me), ya a non-veg eater.. Reasons I rejected Puneet..hehee..funny but true..
One the other hand I had big crush on a guy called Sumeet, and reasons: chocolate boy types, great accent, very matured..not so rich to show me down.. Best part was even he liked me..
I had no mobile.. we shared my frd no. and his no. He contacted me by their cellphones..was loving all that..
He also proposed me in front of 50+ people, and that day was just awesome for me.. I felt I was Miss Universe.. much better than a fairy from heaven..
However, our thing didnt lasted much..start till ended only few sms nothing much..not even dating him once :(
During that, dipankar was giving me small indication of he falling for me.. I did talk to renuka about.. I was wondering, how can I and he.. bold and fast, veg, gujarati..with a quiet and shy, non-veg eater, bengali.. Somehow my practical mind said no.. plus I had big fever of Sumeet..:)
2003
most of class (went for a trip to Pune for 3 days. A day prior of my trip, Renuka told this trip will be a big surprise for U... And there I got indication of Dipankar. During whole trip Dipankar was trying to impress me.. and I was giving him chance to do so..dont kw why..but I was doing so.. I was enjoying his attention.. He was kind of nice and sober and different than me.. and thats thing was attracting me a lot. we played games, cooked food, chated a lot .. loved all.. but at same time was waiting for not so surprise now.. i.e. his proposal. It was last day of trip. just before we were leaving. I thought of playing a trick to open his mouth. I asked him, sonal, rakesh to play truth and dare before we left house. It was truth on him, and there I asked him who is the gurl in our institute U like most.. I knew answer but I made it I didnt.. I told him, obviously, it has to be Sonal.(She was Miss class, most boys were dying to be with her, just because she was fair :P). But as we know Dipankar was different from other guys.. he told me, "Ohh thats, Avani Doshi (me). I loved those words, a alein loving me..hehehe.
Later again we played same game in a taxi while coming bk, where he proposed me to be his gurl frd.
Back to 2010
after having lots of up and downs for 7 yrs.. but staying together holding hands with a promise not to leave for both good and bad.. Dipankar got commited to me for marriage..
Again my engagement, my ring ceremony we did in taxi..heheehe..by exchanging our personal rings..
